
Alright, tonight seems like a good time to start so here it goes...
8 months from today, Shelby and I will be in Seattle, celebrating the finish of our first marathon! I'm not even sure what a good time is (I put 4:35 for my "goal" which is a steady 10 minute mile,) but I'll just be excited to finish. Thankfully this past week was beautiful so I had the chance to run a few times and do some home exercises like 5lb free weights and different things with the jumbo rubber ball. I have a great route for my shorter distances and I still have to walk every now and then but I can tell it will get better.
Another thing I want this blog to be is a type of body tracker. The past few Summers, my friends and I have lost weight for weddings. First Betsy & Corey's in 2008 then John & Lindsay and Lauren & Ryland's in 2009. I got down to 120 and was really happy with my weight. Since then, I've put on my "snuggie weight" of about 15-20 lbs so I'd like to get back down to where I was. I had my roommate take before pictures of me last week, but I don't have the confidence to post them yet. However, I'll post my Truffle Shuffle still frame soon. If nothing else, it's motivation :)
Even though my official training doesn't start until the beginning of May, I hope to start running 4 days a week. I may have to run before work because my evenings are pretty busy. Not only is work picking up a ton, the weather is getting nicer, which means my friends come out of our usual winter hibernation and start to hang out a lot more! Both of these truly are fabulous news!
